Jodi Walters, MSSA, LISW

Jodi Walters earned a Master in Clinical Social Work from Case Western Reserve University after completing undergraduate studies at Cleveland State University. She has over 30 years of experience. Jodi previously worked in community mental health care at Catholic Charities and Positive Education Program (PEP) providing in home and school-based therapy to children, at risk teens, and families. She has facilitated groups and intense in-home family or individual therapy. Jodi has received advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Mindfulness CBT. She currently provides individual and family counseling for clients aged 3-53 years old. Jodi believes in meeting the person where they are and utilizing research-supported interventions personalized for their specific needs. She strives to create a comfortable supportive atmosphere to help her clients grow. This includes hands-on play therapy. She involves art in sessions to assist with this comfort. Her areas of specialty include trauma, parenting, child, adolescent, and teen behaviors, family issues, anxiety and depression. During her free time Jodi enjoys family time, hiking, and biking.
